The team behind TournamentMonitor.com
Since the launch of TournamentMonitor.com we have received loads of e-mails from a variety of different poker players. Some like advice on different poker strategies while others are looking for a quick way to make a few bucks. One of the common questions is: Who is behind TournamentMonitor.com and how did you come up with the poker tournament concept?
The idea was generated when EKarma (a current member of the TournamentMonitor staff) explained how annoying it was to browse through various poker applications to locate a tournament which suites his desires in regards to buy-in, prize pool and starting hours. It became clear to us that many poker players found it annoying to browse through different poker applications to select a tournament.
Therefore we quickly decided that we wanted to build a website that was able to extract tournament data without logging into poker applications and manually checking each and every poker room. TournamentMonitor.com is the product of a close co-operation between online poker professionals and a professional team of programmers and web designers. We have succeeded in extracting tournament data from a variety of different poker rooms and also provide poker tournament data for hundreds of other websites.
Our goal is to continue to develop the best online poker tournament comparison site on the Internet with a wealth of poker strategy tips, guides, rules and recommendations. We are devoted poker players and strive to continue to make TournamentMonitor into a great resource for online poker players.
