What’s more irritating, the guy that signed up for a tourney and then no showed or the on that sits there going zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz while the first guy gets timed out? I hate both but the zzzzz man does it no matter what. Some people get disconnected others are just indecisive. But that constant zzzzzzzzzzz is a pain in the @#$. What good does all those zzzzz do any way? Is it some kind of cyber alarm clock? Can the sleeper hear it? There are a lot of things about online poker that can grate your last good nerve but let’s face it, the zzzz man is right up there at the top of the list. Most sites sit a person out once they are timed out and a lot of them drop unseated players after the first level anyway, about a 7 minute average. Do we really need the internet sand man to alert us to anything? “Hey you, Sand Man, listen up. We don’t need your special effects. Play cards and leave the rest to Hollywood. Am I being harsh? No, I can’t say it any simpler than that. It’s bad enough the game is being needlessly held up but the sideshow just throws gasoline e on the fire. Let it go, play cards, take a bathroom break while the clock runs. All I’m saying is zzzz man give us all a break and leave the keyboard alone. If you have to type something, how about telling us all about that royal flush you accidentally folded in the 100K that cost you your final table seat. It’s more creative than zzzzzzzzzzz and who knows could help you set up a bluff later on.
Now I do realize that this is not only a tournament problem but at a table, if someone is constantly holding up the game, simply report them. Maybe they are abusing the all in protection or just being a jerk but that doesn’t mean that throwing zzzzzzzs at them is going to do anything but cause further problems. Everyone at the table is aware of the delay. We don’t need a town crier to let us know someone is taking up time. If you where seated at a live table in a casino, would you do the same? If Texas Dolly was thinking about his play and thought it was just too long would you start making snoring noises? Just because it is the net doesn’t mean you should act any different than you would at a table. Besides if you are that rushed for time on a single hand, do you really think you should playing for money?
There are other options, contact support, read a book, play at a turbo table, I’d even settle for you hitting on the player with the bikini model as their picture. Maybe, it could happen, they really are the girl in the photo. The point is, all those zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzs are at least just as irritating.
