Tournamentmonitor has got new owners, June 2008! The questions will be answered in the coming months!
Question:In a tournament, if the blinds are at 1000/2000, and player A has only $100 and moves "all in," can he win the full amount of the blinds? In the above hypo, assume the only "callers" are the big and the small blinds. If Player A ends up with the best hand of the three, does he win $300 or $4100? Thanks, D2010-01-13 23:56 Answers: |

300$, he can not win more than he put in, 100$ x 3 (his and the blinds) 2010-01-14 02:21 |

Correct. $300 max. Although there are blinds to start the betting, the all-in rule cannot be trumped, which states that no player can win more from any one player than what they bet and no player can lose more than the largest amount that can be called. By rule - IF there is extra money due to blinds covering more than what a person can win, the blinds are refunded back. 2010-02-23 04:36 |
