I'm a beginner to texas hold em, could someone please explain to me where the betting round stops and the cards are dealt. does it end at the dealer then he deals the next cards? slightly confused? Ryan

Answers:

before the carrds are deakt the blinds r put out they r the 2 players left 2 the dealer. once there out the cards r dealt. players then can check there cards and make there bets once all bets hav matched the big blind the flop comes out, then another round of betting once all bets r the same the next card comes out which is the turn, betting happens again. then same on the river card. left to the dealer would begin the betting

Just to clarify the other response.

Once the highest bet made pre-flop is matched, then betting stops and the flop is dealt.
So if someone raises pre-flop, every1 has to match that raise before the flop is dealt.
If someone re-raises, everyone has to match that bet before the flop is dealt and so on.
This applies to each betting round, which is :

(a) Pre-flop
(b) Flop
(c) Turn
(d) River
